| Message from the Prez November 04
As you receive this newsletter, the election has ended, and hopefully this time, a winner has been declared. If it’s not too late, go vote! The days are growing shorter, the leaves are changing, and there is a chill in the air. If you are one of our dealers, it can mean only one thing, it’s time to send in your contract for the 33rd Annual All Heisey Show and Sale! If you haven’t received your contract yet, please contact Mrs. Chris. Attendance was down for the October meeting, but I blame that more on it being Columbus Day than the weather. Even so, we covered a lot of ground, and had a productive meeting. First, we decided to set up a mechanism to give our dealers more say in what goes on with the show. Please email me with your ideas and suggestions at pres@capitalheiseyclub.org and we will discuss them at our next meeting. After the club has talked about it, we will let you know our decision. If you don’t have email, you can always send us a letter. Second, we will include an absentee ballet with the March Heisey Herald so you can vote for the club’s officers, if you so choose. As far as the show, everyone has their assignments, and everything is on track for another great show. If you wish to volunteer to work at the show, please contact me or Sheri Warren, and we will get right back to you. I just got off the phone with Maezene Walker, the prognosis from her recent surgery was great, and she is expected to make a full recovery. She is still weak, but is getting stronger every day. You go girl! We had a nice display of Heisey’s Prison Stripe pattern, with Dave and Sheri Warren providing the Punch Bowl and Stand! As you can see from the article, Chris did a fine job with the program. Our next program will be on two of Heisey’s smaller patterns, Pinwheel and Fan, and Daisy and Leaves. Please bring examples.
