| Message from the Prez September 05
I hope everyone has had a relaxing and fun-filled summer - we look forward to seeing and hearing about all of your Heisey finds at our first meeting of the season (September 12). Before I go any further; on behalf of the club, I want to thank John Martinez for his years of serving as club president. These are going to be big shoes to fill in the upcoming year. Lucky for all of us, John will continue his work on the Heisey Herald - a quality and informative newsletter. Thank you John! In addition to "Finds of the Summer," our agenda in September will focus on preparing for the 34th Annual All-Heisey Glass Show and Sale, to be held at the Bohrer Park Recreation Center in Gaithersburg, MD on March 18 & 19, 2006. We will also come up with ideas on topics YOU as a club would like to see in our program schedule for the remainder of the year. Would you like to see a program on Heisey colors? etching? how glass was made? a specific pattern? Let us know - bring your ideas to the meeting. I look forward to seeing you all September 12th!
